The Silver Reef Pioneer Cemeteries were established during the heyday of Silver Reef, A booming mining town north of Leeds. The Cemeteries were restored and researched in 1998 by the Leeds Utah Lions Club. 192 volunteers amassed 672 work hours on 5 scheduled Saturdays. There was also about 850 work hours done by the Leeds Lions. A Provo resident donated old barn wood and picket fencing was put in around both the Catholic and Protestant Cemeteries. The club members also made over 60 crosses to mark the unknown graves.
